2AM Radio
An endless lo-fi station generated in the browser with the Web Audio API. No samples: every chord, drum and vinyl crackle is synthesized on the fly.
How a song is made
🎹 Chords
A random walk over a small set of jazzy progressions. Each chord lasts two bars and is voiced across three oscillators.
🥁 Drums
A swung 16-step pattern. The kick is a pitched-down sine, the snare is filtered noise, and the hats are very short noise bursts.
📻 Texture
Pink noise through a band-pass filter for tape hiss, plus random clicks for vinyl crackle.
